A real estate developer reached out to Studio Moravová with the desire to create affordable housing, with quality finishes. The client sought to give the modestly sized apartments an inviting feel with modern and contemporary interior design features – while capturing the true essence of laidback mediterranean living.
Challenge
Developed in collaboration with MGAG Architects, the project challenged Studio Moravová to maximise functionality within a compact two-room layout. The objective was to create clearly defined living, dining and sleeping areas without compromising openness, comfort or a relaxed atmosphere associated with comfortable modern living.
Solution
As a boutique interior + architecture firm, Studio Moravová approached the project by carefully rethinking the interior architecture of each apartment to maximise functionality within a compact footprint. Every intervention was designed to establish clearly defined living, dining and sleeping zones while maintaining a generous sense of openness and comfort.
The interior design proposal celebrates the relaxed simplicity of Mediterranean living through a soft material palette of warm oak, textured ceramics and limewashed walls. Bespoke storage solutions were thoughtfully integrated into the interior architecture to maximise usable space without compromising the clean architectural language of the apartments. The project demonstrates how thoughtful planning and carefully considered detailing can elevate modestly sized homes into welcoming, contemporary residences designed for everyday living.
